After two games in the rain it was finally time for the sun to shine on a Tigers gameday. The past offense had been lackluster in the previous games, and that especially had been worrying the coaches. The defense however had not given up any points the last fourteen quarters, and looked terrifyingly well. The Swans still had much to prove; with only 1 win in three matches they were clearly unfavored to win the match. But with the acquirement of Wayne M. Anderson Jr. it was obvious that the Swans were looking to impress their new Head Coach.

But the above worries were about as close as this game would ever be. The Swans had a quick three-and-out after starting with the ball on their own 40 yard line. The Tigers offense however were quick to respond, after just 3 runs, starting at their own 25-30 yard line, rookie RB Sune Johansen could put the first six points on the board. The following extra point missed. The Swans offense would take the field around their own 30 yard line, but producing just one first down they again would have to punt. A solid return from safety Anders Høgh resulted in the Tigers offense starting short into Odense territory. They kept running the ball, and mixed in a few passes on long second and third down situations, and on third and ten, just outside the Odense red zone, QB Mathias Lilhauge completed a pass to Morten Sehested for another six points. This time the extra point was good and the score was now 13-0

The Swans offense had not only trouble scoring, they had trouble getting yards what so ever against a dominating Tigers defense, where safety Jesper Christensen managed to pick off the swans QB (his fourth interception of the season). Fortunately for the Swans their defense held up on the next two series resulting in punts. On the Tigers fifth possession QB Mathias Lilhauge was able to run the ball to the end zone, after a solid effort from the offense, upping the score to 20-0. On Tigers next possession RB Lasse Schriver was stopped just short of the end zone for a first down on the Swans 1 yard line. Three plays later Mathias Lilhauge again managed to run it in for yet another TD. EP was no good, and the score was now at 26-0. With 34 seconds left on the clock in the first half, the Tigers had their last possession of the half. After just three plays (starting at their own 20 yard line) Marc Sørensen caught a pass in the en dzone, but the TD was called back due to a flag. With still some time left, Mathias Lilhauge managed to lead his offense within the swans 5 yard line and just 4 seconds left on the clock. The Tigers decided to go for it, but well executed coverage from the swans kept them in the game.

After the half the Tigers started out as they had ended. Moving the ball fast down the field, they quickly put another 7 points on the board. The Swans had started to move the ball a little better, especially by passing the ball around, but on their first possession of the half the QB was picked off by LB Stefan Meyer who returned it for another 6 points (his second defensive TD of the season). Both teams had been running the ball a lot, so the third quarter was over quickly. Shortly into the 4th quarter QB Mathias Lilhauge connected with WR Brian Woodward for the 6th TD of the game and on their third to last possession, after yet another solid performance from the offense, the score was expanded to 45-0. Two possessions later the Tigers could kneel for the fifth win of the season.

The offense had risen to the challenge, and finally started putting points on the board. Both RBs had played a vital role in victory, the offensive line paved the way for them, and Mathias Lilhauge was back and ready after missing last week’s game against the Hurricanes. He and his receivers connected brilliantly all day.

Final Score: 45-0

Game MVP: Sune Johansen

Also noteworthy is the fact that the Tigers D have not given up any points the past 18 quarters!
